We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various wooden and composite structures. This role requires a strong understanding of joinery techniques, carpentry, and the use of hand and power tools. The ideal applicant will have experience working on diverse projects including roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and construction painting. Duties
Fabricate and assemble timber components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised joinery equipment
Install structures such as doors, windows, partitions, and bespoke furniture in accordance with project specifications
Assist with roofing tasks including framing and sheathing where required
Perform heavy lifting of materials safely to ensure efficient workflow
Carry out construction painting, masonry work, plumbing installations, and electrical tasks as part of integrated building projects
Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure precise execution of work
Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time and to high standards
Maintain a clean and organised work environment adhering to health and safety regulations
Experience
Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, joinery, roofing, masonry, plumbing or electrical work is preferred
Competence in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, screwdrivers alongside power tools including drills and saws
Knowledge of construction painting techniques is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during demanding tasks
Previous experience working on construction sites or within building maintenance environments is desirable
Relevant qualifications or apprenticeships in carpentry or joinery are beneficial but not essential for highly motivated candidates with practical experience
