As a Senior Associate, Of Counsel or Legal Director you may be keen to take the next step in your career this year to secure a Partnership position yet may be blocked for such an opportunity at your own Firm. Through many years of experience, Segal Placements now work with a number of Firms across London and the South East where we are actively encouraged to send them top quality Senior Associates or equivalent who are already UK Qualified, currently working in private practice in the UK and who have already started building a following and understand what it takes to bring work into their Firm.
We are currently working with no less than NINETEEN such Firms ranging from some of the more progressive International/City Firms to Mid Town, West End and Regional Firms all who recognise the value of bringing the next crop of Junior Partners through. We have placed lawyers as Junior as 7PQE straight into Partnership elsewhere.
Current hot areas for us where there is an opportunity to join directly as a Partner include, Real Estate, Litigation, Employment, Private Wealth, Construction, Insolvency, IP, and Defamation although we work with individuals from any practice area. For some of these roles, only a limited amount of following is required. One may on occasion need to take a slight trim in earnings to receive the Partnership 'badge', but that is up to the individual.
Candidates in every instance need to be:

• Legally qualified to work in England and Wales
• Currently be working in Private Practice in the UK

We can also advise you on the long list of Law Firms who flatly refuse to bring Senior Associates across laterally straight into the Partnership, however good the business case is and we can confirm those Firms where you would receive little joy.
