About the Role
We Are Care is recruiting on behalf of a
well-established Children's Residential Provider
in
Burton-on-Trent (DE15)
. We are seeking an experienced
Senior Children's Residential Support Worker
to support young people with complex needs and play a key role in leading shifts and supporting the wider staff team.

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Support Worker, you will:
Lead shifts and act as a
positive role model
for Residential Support Workers
Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in line with the
Children's Homes Regulations 2015
and Quality Standards
Support the implementation of care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support strategies
Build strong, consistent relationships with young people to support positive outcomes
Mentor and support staff, including new starters and agency workers
Ensure accurate record keeping and compliance with safeguarding and Ofsted requirements
Work closely with the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager to support the effective running of the home
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People's Residential Care
(or equivalent)
Experience working in a
children's residential setting
Confidence leading shifts and supporting staff teams
Strong safeguarding knowledge and child-centred practice
Resilient, adaptable and professional approach
Flexibility to work across a 7-day rota
Desirable:
Full UK driving licence
Experience supporting children with complex or challenging behaviours
Ambition to progress into Deputy or Management roles
Salary & Benefits
30,000 per annum
60 per sleep-in
