Job Description


As Snr RF Technician you will support the RF Group with expertise in the construction, operation, maintenance, and development of electronic/electrical/RF circuits and systems.

As Snr RF Technician you will support the overall operation and maintenance of low-power RF equipment and day to day running of the RF lab.

Your day-to-day duties will include

  • Development of RF equipment as required.
  • Contribution to the system optimisation and procedure development of RF systems.
  • Assist in the drawing up of manufacturing and test specifications.
  • Supervision of Contractors and Technicians.
  • Liaison with the Operations Teams in diagnosis and repair.
  • Contribute to the development of procedures for all RF equipment.
  • Contribute to ensuring safe working practices, relating to the maintenance and operation of the amplifier systems.
Experience required
  • Be HND qualified or equivalent
  • Strong commercial experience as an electrical technician or equivalent
  • Variety of electrical and electronic assembly tasks
  • Design and build of electronic modules
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Sound experience of using electrical and electronic test equipment and fault finding
  • Electrical and electronic design
  • Thorough understanding of electrical health and safety issues
