Our ideal candidate will have experience in coaching young players, a positive attitude, and a commitment to creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment where children can learn, develop, and enjoy the game.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging training sessions
that focus on core skills, ball mastery, teamwork, and game understanding.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
where players feel encouraged and supported regardless of ability level.
Provide clear, constructive feedback
to help players improve both individually and as a team.
Communicate regularly with parents/carers
about player progress, session details, and upcoming events.
Ensure a safe training environment
, following safeguarding and child protection policies at all times.
Assist in growing the Soccer School
by helping with player recruitment, word-of-mouth promotion, and building community connections.
Capture and share content
(photos/videos) from sessions for use on social media and work with management to highlight player progress and success stories.
Stay up to date with modern coaching methods
and contribute ideas to improve the programme
Skills & Requirements
Proven experience coaching football (FA Level 1/Introduction to Coaching Football minimum preferred).
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage children and build strong relationships with parents.
Organised and reliable, with good time management skills.
Confident using social media or willing to learn how to create engaging posts to promote sessions and celebrate player achievements.
Passionate about youth development, player welfare, and creating a fun football culture.
Knowledge of child safeguarding and willingness to complete DBS checks and first aid training (if not already in place).
