Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate, resilient and proactive Social Care Officer to join our team. The post holder will support an assigned caseload of young people both in our residential placement and in their own homes, tailoring your approach to their individual support needs. Your role will be central to promoting recovery, as well as their strengths and abilities to identify their goals and aspirations. You will be required to undertake mandatory training to deliver exceptional care.

Key responsibilities:

Provide person-centred support to young people in residential care and floating support. Empower young people to identify their strengths, set goals, and work toward aspirations. Act as liaison with social workers, CAMHS, GP's, schools, and other relevant services. Actively encourage engagement with all support services working with the young people.

Essential requirements:

1 year or more experience working with young people within a social care setting. Experience working with young people with mental health illness desirable. Strong communication skills Ability to remain calm under pressure and act professionally in emergencies or to challenging behaviour.

Pay: From 12.25 per hour
