Job Description

Nottinghamshire County Council are further developing all-age ways of working in Social Work and Occupational Therapy Community Teams. Various vacancies for Service Advisers have arisen across our North, Mid and South districts of the county.



The successful candidate will work as part of the Social Work Community Team or Occupational Therapy Community Team supporting the work of our all-age teams.



We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic people with good attention to detail and experience of using IT systems such as SharePoint data base and Excel. The successful candidate will often be the first point of contact for the team, and they will be expected to support duty systems and signpost people to community services and other agencies where appropriate. A high level of personal drive and commitment to excellent customer care and the ability to set an example for other staff is important



You will need strong interpersonal skills and the ability to make decisions and solve problems to meet operational targets, involving devising solutions and prioritising the resources available.



Good communication skills are essential as the successful candidate will be expected to liaise with colleagues from various departments, other organisations and partners daily .Experience of independently managing and prioritising demands and tasks to meet objectives and accurate record keeping. Experience of administrative and organisational tasks that require attention to detail.

You will receive regular supervision, both formally and informally and be supported to attend training to maintain your continued professional development. The preferred candidate will a good level of general education including GCSE at A-C grade in English and Maths, NVQ equivalent or equivalent qualifications or evidence of required skills and experience and a knowledge of current Adult Social Care and Health policy drivers and the functions of Adult Social Care and Public Health.
