Role Overview
We are seeking a Social Care Service and Quality Manager to lead our social care services, with a strong focus on quality assurance and continuous improvement.
You will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations within the social care setting, including recruiting and managing staff teams, managing budgets and ensuring that the quality of the services provided meet national care standards.
You will assume the role of Safeguarding Lead, managing all safeguarding matters related to the social care provision across both sites, with support from the Designated Safeguarding Lead (Principal/Head of Services) as needed.
Key Responsibilities include
Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of our social care provision.
Work collaboratively with our supervisors, providing coaching, support, and guidance to empower them in effectively leading services.
Take a visible leadership role, ensuring person-centred, high-quality care.
Effectively lead Safeguarding, promoting the safety and wellbeing of learners and staff.
Recruit, train, and motivate a skilled team to deliver outstanding support.
Manage budgets, occupancy, and ensure compliance with national care standards.
Build strong partnerships with families, communities, and professionals.
Champion independence and opportunities for learners through engaging activities.
What you'll need
A sound understanding of Safeguarding.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to communicate with a range of people using a variety of communication methods.
Excellent written skills.
Experience of writing reports.
A passion for working with people and providing person-centred care.
Leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate others.
Ability to manage time effectively, work under pressure, and apply a proactive, problem-solving approach to challenges and tight deadlines.
Effective organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise your own and others workload.
Numerical skills for managing budgets.
Knowledge of Government Funded training.
Proficient IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Office applications and Management Information Systems.
An ability to motivate and support staff working with challenging learner groups.
Ability to travel to locations throughout the UK as required.
