We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The Social Worker will work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
Duties
Conduct assessments to identify clients' needs and develop tailored intervention plans.
Provide counselling and support to individuals and families facing various challenges, including mental health issues, substance abuse, and domestic violence.
Facilitate access to community resources and services that can assist clients in overcoming barriers.
Mentor and supervise junior staff or interns, fostering their professional growth and development.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions, progress, and outcomes in accordance with organisational policies.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for clients.
Advocate for clients' rights and needs within the community and relevant agencies.
Participate in training sessions, workshops, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
A recognised degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification is essential.
Registration with the relevant professional body is required.
Previous experience in a social work setting is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level positions.
Strong mentoring and supervising skills are advantageous for those looking to guide less experienced colleagues.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
A compassionate approach with strong problem-solving abilities to address complex client situations.
Knowledge of local resources and services available for clients is beneficial.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
