Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Companionship Assistant to provide support and companionship to individuals in the community. This role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for clients, particularly those with developmental disabilities, dementia, or other health challenges. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and demonstrate a commitment to fostering meaningful connections with clients.

Key Responsibilities:



Companionship and emotional support:

Engaging in meaningful conversation, providing a listening ear, and alleviating feelings of loneliness.

Household and errands:

Assisting with shopping, running errands, and ensuring the home is clean and safe.

Activities and outings:

Accompanying clients to appointments, social events, recreational activities, and other outings to help them stay active and engaged.

Health and safety monitoring:

Monitoring and reporting any changes in physical, mental, or emotional state to the appropriate line manager or healthcare professionals.

As a Social Companionship Worker you will be able to demonstrate:
