Job Description

The SEND Consultancy Group Ltd is seeking a creative, motivated, camera confident and community-driven Social Media & Digital Outreach Lead to grow our online presence and promote our work in advocacy, events and digital outreach. You will plan, create, film, edit, design and publish content.

This role offers flexible hours, a mix of remote working with occasional in-person support at Kent-based SEND events and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) sector.



The ideal candidate will:

Lead the planning, design, scheduling, and publishing of engaging, daily content across Instagram and Facebook Confidently edit videos and create impactful visual assets using Canva, Adobe, or similar design platforms Write compelling captions, stories and calls-to-action that drive audience engagement and reflect our ethos Strategically develop promotional materials and digital advertisements that elevate our brand Share relevant content into SEND-focused and community groups for maximum visibility and outreach Contribute creative ideas for marketing campaigns, with awareness of evolving algorithms, trends and engagement tools Provide hands-on support with event coordination, including pre-event promotion and on-the-day logistics Build strong relationships with SEND professionals and businesses, with a focus on Kent-based networking Collaborate on branding initiatives and recommend visibility-boosting strategies tailored to our mission Embody our core values of empathy, professionalism, and advocacy in all communications Be familiar with MailChimp or a comparable email marketing platform to support outreach efforts

Person Specification



Demonstrates confidence, professionalism and a strong presence across all forms of communication (this is essential) Proven experience in video editing with a keen eye for detail and storytelling Skilled in producing high-quality, visually engaging advertisements and social media graphics Excellent writing ability, with a clear, empathetic, and audience-sensitive style, both written and verbal In-depth understanding of current social media algorithms, trends, audio usage, hashtags, and viral content strategies Minimum of 2 years' experience in social media management and content creation Holds a relevant qualification in marketing, design, communications, or a similar field Strong working knowledge of Instagram and Facebook, including content creation, event promotion, and group engagement ? Comfortable with networking and supporting small-to-medium scale events, with a focus on fostering meaningful community connections Familiar with the SEND landscape and passionate about inclusive practices, advocacy, and family-focused professionalism Able to work independently from a remote location, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines consistently Open-minded, collaborative, and eager to share ideas in a dynamic and mission-driven team Highly organised with excellent attention to detail Ideally based in Kent for accessible involvement in local events and outreach
