We have a very exciting opportunity to join the Organic Social Team at Next as a Social Media Assistant!

This role is primarily to support the planning and execution of @CathKidston social channels (recently acquired by Next), as well as contribute to a robust reporting process.

In addition, your role will support the wider team on Next initiatives, including briefing content creators (both in the UK and internationally) and creating fun, personality-led content for TikTok.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start their professional journey in social media, learning all aspects of the role and gain an understanding of how it works within the wider marketing mix.

In this role, you will..

  • Plan and deliver the @cathkidston social calendar, checking stock, scheduling posts, tagging products and publishing content
  • Support with scheduling across the @nextofficial channels
  • Community management: identify opportunities to initiate or contribute to conversation to enhance the customer experience and communicate our brand personality
  • Compile studio briefs to ensure a regular drumbeat of bespoke assets
  • Create fun and innovative content creator briefs that position Cath Kidston and Next through a helpful or entertaining lens
  • Self shoot lofi assets for TikTok with an emphasis on community and driving interactions
  • Collate data for all reports ahead of regular meetings where we are required to present findings / results
  • Conduct regular competitor analysis and inspiration gathering to ensure we\'re producing innovative content in line with reactive trends
  • Keep up to date with industry developments (trend or tech based) and attend relevant training / webinars to broaden your knowledge
  • Support the team on additional campaigns / projects when required
  • Feedback info on social trends, industry and digital developments to the wider team
  • Any other duties consistent with this role, including general admin support and contribution where needed those as reasonably requested by the company to ensure the continuous development of the business
What we\'re looking for..
  • A passion for social media demonstrated in your CV or a relevant marketing degree
  • Avid social media user who is active across all major and emerging channels
  • Knowledge of what\'s trending on social and agile enough to react
  • Ability to be visual, creative and ideas driven whilst also process-orientated
  • Impeccable time management, deadline-driven and able to multitask
  • Excellent copywriter
  • Strong communication skills and willing to contribute in meetings
  • Some knowledge and experience of reporting would be advantageous
  • Fun and enthusiastic team player with a flexible and professional attitude
  • Able to resolve problems proactively using own initiative but willing and able to ask for help when required
  • Confident to represent Next at events, shoots and across the business
  • A keen interest in fashion, lifestyle and culture
  • Willing to travel to your closest office (either Leicester/London) at least twice a week for face to face meetings
