Total Guide to Ltd is a multi award winning digital media and marketing company producing local lifestyle guides for Wiltshire, Bath, Dorset and beyond. We also provide marketing services for businesses, with a focus on content creation, social media, PR, and digital strategy.
The Role
As Social Media & Community Manager, you'll lead the social media strategy for Total Guide Bath and Bristol and will assist the team with our overall strategy and other TGt locations (Dorset, Reading, Bristol, Cardiff, Manchester) with the option to manage a few small client accounts.
You'll also be on the ground in Bath and Bristol, attending press calls, networking events and community happenings, capturing engaging local content. You must love being out and about - it's a fun and sociable job!
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Execution
Develop and implement innovative social media strategies for Total Guide and select clients
Manage paid social media advertising campaigns
Track performance and respond to analytics, adapting strategy for growth
Stay on top of platform trends, tools and algorithms
Content Creation & Management
Create engaging, high-quality content (video, graphics, written) that aligns with each brand's tone
Collaborate with the wider team to source and develop creative ideas
Lead on local content creation for Total Guide to Bath and Bristol - being out and about is key
Community Engagement
Build and manage online communities across multiple platforms
Respond to comments, messages and reviews professionally and promptly
Support and oversee influencer collaborations
Team Leadership
Delegate tasks and support the digital marketing team
Contribute to a positive, productive and creative team culture
What We're Looking For/Your Experience and Skills:
- Staying up-to-date with platform updates, viral trends, and competitor activity.
Brand Voice Alignment
- Ability to represent the brand consistently across all social channels.
AI -
Experience of using Ai such as Chat GPT and Gemini
Collaboration
- Working with marketing teams, influencers, and external partners.
Customer Focus
- Understanding target audiences and tailoring content accordingly.
Adaptability
- Reacting to changes in social media trends, algorithms, and business priorities.
Platform Expertise
- In-depth knowledge of platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and Pinterest.
Community Management
- Experience engaging with followers, responding to comments/messages, and managing online reputation.
Strategy Development
- Ability to create and implement a social media strategy aligned with business goals.
Scheduling & Planning
- Proficiency with tools like Buffer, Hootsuite, Later, or Meta Business Suite for planning and scheduling posts.
Analytics & Reporting
- Understanding of social media metrics (reach, engagement, conversions) and ability to produce reports.
Paid Advertising
- Experience running and optimising paid social media campaigns.
SEO & Hashtag Strategy
- Knowledge of how social content impacts search and how to use hashtags effectively.
Confident attending local events and working with clients face-to-face
A full UK driving licence and access to a car
