Social Media Content Creators
to capture the excitement and spirit of our
Women's Team
and
Men's Team
, both on and off the pitch. This is a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to build their portfolio, gain hands-on experience in sports media, and make a significant impact on our club's online presence.
The primary focus is on capturing engaging, behind-the-scenes content to elevate individual player profiles, showcase team dynamics, and enhance the overall club brand.
Commitment & Hours Required
We are seeking
one individual for the Women's Team
and
one
individual for the Men's Team
. Candidates can apply for one or both roles.
Men's Team:
Saturday 1-4pm
Women's Team:
Sunday 1-4pm
Location Note:
Matches are either in Cambridge or within a
30-minute travel radius
of Cambridge.
Key Responsibilities
Content Capture:
Attend required training sessions and matches to capture high-quality, authentic behind-the-scenes video and photo content.
Focus on capturing individual player moments, team interactions, and the club atmosphere.
Conduct short, informal interviews with players and staff as needed.
Content Editing & Production:
Edit captured raw footage into engaging, short-form video content optimized for platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
Apply club branding, appropriate music, and text overlays to finished content.
Ensure all content is edited and prepared for timely release.
Platform Management & Uploading:
Work closely with the club's media or marketing lead to schedule and upload content across all key social media platforms.
Write compelling, platform-appropriate captions and use relevant hashtags.
Idea Generation:
Proactively contribute creative content ideas that align with current social media trends and the club's branding goals.
What We're Looking For
Passion for Football & Content Creation:
A genuine interest in the game and a strong understanding of how engaging sports content performs online.
Social Media Fluency:
Up-to-date knowledge of current social media platforms and their content formats.
Editing Skills:
Proficiency in mobile and/or desktop video editing software.
Reliability & Availability:
The proven ability to commit to the specific evening/weekend schedule outlined above.
Equipment:
Must have access to personal recording equipment (e.g., a high-quality smartphone or camera).
Interpersonal Skills:
Confidence in approaching and interacting with players and staff in a professional yet friendly manner.

This content editing and upload work will be completed remotely, outside of the scheduled training and match attendance hours, and is expected to require an

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, applicants should meet the following criteria:
Experience & Skills
Proven experience in
video/photo capture
using personal equipment (smartphone, DSLR, etc.).
Proficiency in a
video editing application
(e.g., CapCut, VN, InShot, Adobe Premiere Rush) to quickly produce social-first content.
Basic graphic design skills (e.g., using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite) for match graphics/score updates.
Demonstrable
fluency
with current social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram Reels, X/Twitter) and their specific content formats.
Understanding of
social media analytics
(insights) and what drives engagement.
Knowledge & Attitude
A
genuine passion for football
and a commitment to the Cambridge Cobras FC brand.
A degree or ongoing studies in Marketing, Media, Communications, or Journalism.
High degree of
reliability, punctuality, and professionalism
when interacting with players, coaches, and staff.
Knowledge of non-league football culture and local Cambridge sports scene.
Logistics
Access to
reliable camera/video equipment
(as mentioned in the Essential Skillssection).
Clean driving license and access to transport for travel to away games (within the 30-minute radius).
Ability to
commit to times
outlined above for the relevant team(s).
Job Type: Freelance
Pay: 12.50-15.00 per hour
