Overview

LCC is a design and construction company based in west London. We are seeking a talented and creative Content Writer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling and a strong ability to craft engaging content across various platforms. This role is essential in enhancing our brand's voice and presence, particularly in the realms of public relations and social media management. The Content Writer will collaborate closely with marketing and communications teams to ensure our messaging is consistent and impactful.

Responsibilities:

1. Content Strategy & Planning

Develop content ideas aligned with company goals (e.g., brand awareness, client attraction). Create a content calendar that includes project milestones, behind-the-scenes moments, and educational content. Collaborate with design teams to align messaging and visuals.
2. Video Production

Film ongoing construction projects, time-lapses, walkthroughs, and interviews. Shoot promotional videos for completed projects (e.g., project showcases). Capture behind-the-scenes footage showing the company culture, process, and people.
3. Photography

Take professional photos of work sites, materials, tools, and finished projects. Maintain a library of high-quality images for use in marketing, social media, and case studies.
4. Editing & Post-Production

Edit raw footage into polished videos suitable for web, social, and client presentations. Add graphics, music, voiceovers, subtitles, or animations as needed. Ensure brand consistency in every piece of visual content.
5. Social Media Content Creation

Adapt video and photo content for platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube. Stay updated on trends and propose new ideas to boost engagement. Write captions and assist with scheduling posts if needed.
6. Website & Marketing Support

Provide content for use on the company website, digital ads, and newsletters. Collaborate with the web team to ensure visuals enhance SEO and user experience.
7. On-site & Off-site Coverage

Visit project sites regularly to capture content at various build stages. Coordinate with site managers and ensure safety protocols are followed while filming.
8. Equipment Management

Maintain and manage video/photo gear (cameras, drones, gimbals, mics, etc.). Handle backups, file organization, and storage of all content.
9. Client-Facing Media

Create case study videos or testimonials featuring clients. Produce proposal and pitch videos for tenders and new business.
10. Analytics & Reporting

Track engagement and performance of video content. Suggest improvements based on metrics like views, shares, and watch time.
Experience

Proven experience as a Content Writer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing writing samples across various formats. Familiarity with public relations practices and experience in managing social media platforms effectively. Excellent command of the English language, with exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. A degree in English, Communications, Marketing or a related field is preferred but not essential if experience is demonstrable.

Pay: 15.00-20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
