The Role
We're looking for an experienced, creative and strategic Social Media & Content Manager to lead our social channels and elevate our online presence across the Total Guide network. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves storytelling, understands what performs on social, and can balance creativity with data-driven strategy.
You'll work closely with our regional teams and freelance contributors to deliver engaging content that strengthens our brand and drives traffic and engagement.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and own the social media strategy for Total Guide and associated brands.???
Create, schedule, and publish high-quality content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok where relevant)
Manage and mentor freelance contributors and content creators across regions.?????
Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Canva Magic Write, etc.) to streamline ideation, research, and content planning
Monitor engagement, performance, and trends to continuously improve reach and results.??????
Plan and execute targeted campaigns that support key events, features, and partnerships.?????
Coordinate with the wider Total Guide team to align social content with editorial and commercial activity.???
Represent the voice and tone of the Total Guide brand; personable, professional, and community-focused.
About You
You'll be a natural communicator with a strong understanding of how social media drives engagement and brand growth. You'll know how to turn local stories into standout content and how to make a strategy deliver measurable impact.
Essential Skills & Experience:
?
3+ years' experience managing social media accounts (preferably across multiple brands or regions)?????
Proven track record of growing engagement and followers organically
Confident using AI for productivity and ideation (not dependency!)??????
Excellent copywriting and visual content creation skills????
Comfortable with basic video editing / directing social video content??????
Strong grasp of analytics and performance metrics??????
Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple content streams??????
A passion for local communities, small businesses, and storytelling
Desirable:

Experience in digital publishing, lifestyle media, or multi-location brands??????o?????Experience with paid social campaigns and boosting strategies??????
Canva / Adobe Creative Suite / Meta Business Suite experience
