Social Media Coordinator

Gateshead, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

About Scantime

Founded in 2004, Scantime is a family-run business with deep roots in engineering. Our purpose is to deliver practical and engaging PLC training courses that help engineers stay safe and effective in their day-to-day work. We bring real-world, shop-floor experience to the classroom, making our training relatable and highly relevant.

We're looking for a creative and organised Social Media Coordinator to join our team in Gateshead. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage and grow our online presence, helping us connect with engineers and businesses across the UK.

The Role

As our Social Media Coordinator, you'll be responsible for taking Scantime's digital presence to the next level. You'll manage our social media channels, create engaging content, and support our marketing campaigns to drive awareness and generate leads. This role is perfect for someone who balances creativity with data-driven decisions to tell our story consistently across all digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management:

You'll handle the day-to-day operations of all our social media accounts (including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok). This involves planning, scheduling, and publishing posts, as well as monitoring engagement and responding to our community.

Content Creation:

You'll collaborate with the team to develop creative concepts and produce graphics, videos, and written content. You'll also get to repurpose existing marketing materials into fresh, engaging social posts that align with our brand voice.

Lead Generation & Campaign Support:

You'll implement social media campaigns designed to capture and nurture leads. This includes using social listening to spot new opportunities and working with our sales team to optimise funnels.

Email & Mail Campaigns:

You'll manage our email marketing campaigns, from newsletters to promotional mailers. You'll segment our audiences to deliver tailored content and monitor campaign performance to make improvements.

Analytics & Reporting:

You will track, analyse, and report on performance across social and email campaigns. Using this data, you'll provide insights and recommendations to refine our content strategy and improve results.

Collaboration:

You'll work closely with the wider marketing team and collaborate alongside our Content Creator on campaigns, events, and product launches, contributing ideas to enhance Scantime's digital strategy and brand growth.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in a social media, digital marketing, or similar role. A strong understanding of major social media platforms and their best practices. Creative flair with experience in content creation (graphics, video, or copywriting). Experience with email marketing platforms and an understanding of GDPR. Excellent communication and organisational skills. A data-driven mindset with the ability to analyse performance and generate reports. You're a team player who is keen to learn and stay up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends.

Why Join Scantime?

Be part of a supportive, knowledgeable, and friendly team. Play a key role in shaping the digital voice of a respected industry leader. Opportunity for professional growth and development. Work in a collaborative environment where your ideas are valued.
If you are a passionate and driven social media professional looking to make an impact, we'd love to hear from you.
