We're looking for a proactive and creative

Social Media Executive

to manage the day-to-day activity across the social channels for three brands:

Mr Fothergill's

,

DTBrown

, and

Johnsons

.

In this role, you'll create engaging, inspiring content for gardeners of all levels, support the development of seasonal campaigns, and help build a warm, supportive community across platforms. You will balance creativity with data-led decision-making, using insights to continually optimise performance.

Core Responsibilities:



Content Creation & Community Management



Create high-quality content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and other key platforms. Write clear, warm and engaging copy aligned with the Fothergill's tone of voice. Support the planning, shooting and editing of short-form video content. Actively engage with the community daily, responding to questions and supporting growers. Monitor social and wider cultural trends, bringing fresh creative ideas to the team.

Channel Management



Schedule and publish content across multiple brand channels with accuracy and consistency. Maintain an organised content calendar in Monday.com, aligned to seasonal priorities and campaign launches. Monitor competitor activity and horticultural trends to keep content relevant and inspiring.

Data, Reporting & Optimisation



Use analytics tools (e.g. Meta Insights, TikTok Analytics, YouTube Studio, Google Analytics, SEO data) to track and evaluate performance. Produce clear weekly and monthly performance reports. Use insights to optimise posts, refine messaging and support the broader social strategy. Test and learn across formats, hooks, and posting times, sharing recommendations with the team.

Collaboration & Delivery



Work closely with the wider Marketing team to align on campaigns and key moments. Support product launches, content shoots and cross-channel activity. Confidently manage shifting priorities within a fast-paced environment. Follow processes, meet deadlines and help ensure smooth project delivery.

We are looking for someone who

has proven experience in managing or supporting social media accounts for brands, agency or organisation. This role is well-suited to someone organised, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where no two days look the same. You will also demonstrate:

Strong copywriting skills, with the ability to adapt tone and simplify information. Experience using social media analytics and reporting tools. Confidence using scheduling platforms (e.g. Metricool, Monday.com). Basic photo and video editing skills suitable for social content. Familiarity with working in website CMS systems, creating online content such as blogs, articles and landing pages.

Desirable skills



Experience within horticulture, lifestyle or consumer brands. Experience working on paid social campaigns. Confidence presenting ideas, insights and recommendations.

Pay: 30,000.00-35,000.00 per year
