Job Description

As the Social Media Manager, you will lead and manage a dedicated content creation team producing high-quality social media assets across multiple clients. Your primary responsibility is to maintain exceptional quality control and ensure content schedules are adhered to without compromise. You will play a pivotal role in growing the client base by actively reaching out to prospective clients and representing the company at key networking events in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership:

Oversee, guide, and motivate content creators to consistently deliver engaging, on-brand content primarily on Instagram.

Quality Control:

Ensure all content meets high standards of quality, brand alignment, and scheduling deadlines across multiple client projects.

Client Acquisition:

Proactively identify and connect with new potential clients through outreach activities and by attending regional networking events.

Relationship Management:

Build and nurture professional relationships within the local business communities of Edinburgh and Glasgow to expand referral and client opportunities.

Scheduling & Reporting:

Monitor team progress against client deadlines; provide regular updates and performance reports to senior management.

Referral Program Leadership:

Drive growth incentives by actively participating in and promoting the company's client referral program.
Requirements

Proven experience managing creative or social media teams, with strong leadership and organizational skills. Deep understanding of Instagram's platform, algorithms, trends, and best practices to optimize content impact. Excellent communication and networking skills, comfortable with live events and face-to-face client meetings. Strong attention to detail to maintain quality standards across all deliverables. Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Based in or willing to travel regularly to Edinburgh and Glasgow. Full-time availability to commit to a 40-hour workweek.
KPIs / Performance Metrics

Team content delivery rate versus deadlines (target: 100% on-time). Quality audit scores of published social content. Number of new client leads generated via networking and outreach. Conversion rate of leads to signed clients. Referral program participation and resulting client growth numbers.
