We have a new and exciting and opportunity for a Social Services Practitioner (SSP), within our Sensory Support Team.


We are looking for an innovative and forward-thinking individual who can demonstrate excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.


You will have a creative approach to your work carrying out holistic assessments. This will also involve working towards agreed outcomes, which maximise independence and prevent reliance on formal care.


You will be based within the Sensory services team you will work with colleagues to provide specialist assessments, advice/ guidance, emotional support in all aspects of vision impairment to individuals and their carer's.


You will be required to work with people who have dual sensory loss, mental health, physical, learning disabilities, older people, provide advice to children's and young person's services.


You will contribute to the development and improvement of team practice and performance.


You will work collaboratively with partner organisations to promote the health and wellbeing of vision impaired, deaf and hard of hearing individuals in Swansea.


If you do not already hold the Social Services Practitioner (SSP) qualification, then you will be required to complete and qualify in the Social Services Practitioner (SSP) qualification. There will also be an expectation to learn British Sign Language (BSL) to a minimum of Level 1, if you do not already hold this qualification.


You will receive regular supervision and training relevant to your role.
