About the role





We are looking for a talented and creative Social Video Producer to join our newsroom on a six-month fixed-term contract.



This is a fantastic opportunity to create engaging video content seen by major publishers, broadcasters and audiences across the UK and beyond. You'll work at the heart of a fast-paced multimedia newsroom, producing high-quality social video packages and rough cuts that help tell the day's biggest stories across news, sport and entertainment.



From editing and sourcing to filming and publishing, you'll play a key role in ensuring PA's video output is impactful, timely and trusted.

Key responsibilities





Produce engaging social video content for PA audiences. Generate rough cuts and deliver them quickly to customers. Edit footage into compelling video packages using tools such as Premiere Pro and After Effects. Film to a high professional standard when required. Source and verify social video material. Contribute to PA's social media accounts where applicable. Respond to customer queries and support colleagues across editorial teams. Manage incoming video footage, ensuring accuracy in headlines, captions and metadata.

What you will need





Professional experience editing with Adobe Premiere and knowledge of After Effects. Proven filming skills with professional broadcast cameras. Experience with video content management systems and strong knowledge of video formats. Ability to edit quickly and to a high standard. Proven ability to create content for an online video audience. A strong grasp of current events and the wider news and social media landscape. Excellent grammar and an understanding of SEO. Knowledge of media law is desirable
