We are recruiting for a Social Worker Assistant who will be based in our Twickenham office.

About the role
As a Social Work Assistant you will work alongside frontline Social Workers in carrying out their duties.
As a Social Work Assistant for Achieving for Children, you will be responsible for:

  • Taking & recording minutes of meetings
  • Completing referrals to other agencies
  • Making contact with partner agencies to gather and share information
  • Maintaining electronic files
  • Organising packages of support

About you
To be a Social Work Assistant for AfC, you will be passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people as well as demonstrating the following points:
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Word and Gmail, and a willingness to learn new systems such as the Integrated Children's Service electronic database
  • Clear and effective communication skills, particularly when engaging with service users
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well as part of a team
