Social Work Early Career Development Coordinator 8992 | Permanent contract | 39,862 to 41,771 per annum (Scale J) | 37 hours per week | County Hall, Norwich



Both Children's and Adult Social Services recognise the value in providing high quality support for social workers when they are training and starting their careers. We are seeking someone to join our team supporting the development of Social Work Apprentices and Newly Qualified Social Workers. If you are passionate about social work, and are keen to develop newcomers to the profession, this role is an ideal opportunity to make a difference.



You will be an experienced Social Work practitioner in either Adult Social Services or Children's Services and be able to demonstrate your ability in supporting others to learn. You will:



Provide support and guidance to NQSWs, Social Work Apprentices, ASYE assessors, Workplace Mentors, and managers. Provide additional one to one support to NQSWs and apprentices to maintain their progress. Liaise with university partners about the progress and support for apprentices and attend course operational and committee meetings. Support with the quality assurance of the ASYE and apprenticeship programmes Contribute to the development, commissioning, delivery, and review of a programme of courses, workshops and activities to support NQSWs and Social Work Apprentices. Provide introductory briefings, advice and coaching for assessors/line managers. Keep up to date with local, regional, and national developments in relation to the ASYE and apprenticeships and review and develop relevant policy and procedures.
