We are currently looking to recruit a Social Worker within our Adult Safeguarding and Duty Service (ASDS) - a short term service which provides an urgent response City wide to Adults with care and support needs.
Brighton and Hove is both a challenging and rewarding place to work and we are looking for social workers who want to work creatively with us to ensure that individuals can live independent and fulfilled lives. We are seeking an experienced social worker; ideally experienced in Adults Social Work; however if your experience is in Children Social Work full training will be provided.
Our Adult Safeguarding and Duty Service is a busy, supportive and friendly team who provide a responsive city-wide single contact point for Adult Assessment Social Care, dealing with urgent issues and crisis intervention; this includes triaging all incoming safeguarding concerns for Adult Assessment Services and mitigating immediate risks for adults at risk of harm or abuse.
The successful candidate would have a broad understanding of care planning, safeguarding and how to co-ordinate proportionate and timely assessments to meet identified outcomes for Adults at the first point of contact in a fast paced environment and a comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, including The Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.

These would be part of your individual working arrangements alongside any personal preference agreed with your manager in advance of joining.
