We are very excited to be able to offer a substantive Social Worker post within the Eating Disorders Service. The post is part time 22.5hours per week; days/ hours can be negotiated and we are seeking an experienced Social Worker. The post would be based at the Brownhill Clinic/Eastgate House, a community base for the community eating disorder teams to enable lots of helpful information/ skills/ knowledge sharing and positive interface working.
The Eating Disorders Service is a friendly, welcoming and dynamic team providing secondary care services to children and young people, adults of working age, their families and significant others, to provide the best possible outcomes for people experiencing an eating disorder. This is an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker who has some experience of working with adults of Working Age and caring for individuals with an Eating Disorder and other forms of Mental Illness.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will:
Work with allocated individuals with an Eating Disorder who have social care needs and serious and enduring mental health difficulties.
Develop and provide social care/health evidence-based interventions for individuals of working age with an Eating Disorder who are receiving social care/health funding and managed through the Social Care Hub.
Ensure a clear focus on recovery and social inclusion
The role will entail assessment, support planning and review of social care packages in robust and timely manner, in accordance with The Care Act 2014 requirements.
