Senior Practioner - Children in Care
Are you an experienced Social Worker passionate about working with children in care? Birmingham Children's Trust is looking for a dedicated individual to join their Children in Care service. About the Role:
As a Social Worker in the Children in Care service, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support and guidance to children in care, ensuring their well-being and positive development. This role requires experience in both court work and permanency planning. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of children in care, developing and implementing care plans.
- Conduct assessments and reviews of children's needs.
- Prepare and present reports for court proceedings.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals, including foster carers, teachers, and healthcare providers.
- Undertake permanency planning for children, including adoption and long-term fostering.
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant experience in children's social care.
- Experience in court work and permanency planning is essential.
- Excellent assessment and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Access to own transport is essential.
- Competitive pay rate of 33.30 per hour.
- Hybrid working arrangements (office presence required on Mondays and for meetings/training).
