The Children in Care Team is dedicated to providing high-quality, consistent support for children and young people who are looked after. With a maximum caseload capped at 16, the service ensures social workers can build strong, lasting relationships with children and families, while delivering effective care plans and meaningful interventions.

Key Responsibilities
- Hold and manage a caseload of up to 16 children in care
- Undertake statutory visits, assessments, and care planning
- Develop and review care plans, ensuring they reflect the child's needs and aspirations
- Prepare high-quality reports for reviews, permanency planning, and court proceedings
- Work closely with foster carers, schools, health services, and other agencies
- Promote stability, aspiration, and positive long-term outcomes for children in care
- Social Work England registration
- Substantial post-qualified experience in children's services, ideally LAC/CIC
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build effective relationships with children, families, and professionals
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to complete one)
- 37.52 per hour
- Hybrid working - just 1 day in the office each week
