Job Responsibilities

Provide high-quality social work services to children and families in Portsmouth. Conduct assessments and develop care plans to ensure the welfare and safeguarding of children. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive support to clients. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions. Participate in regular supervision and training to ensure continuous professional development. Advocate for the needs and rights of children and families within the community. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.

Person Specifications

Qualified Social Worker with a degree in Social Work or equivalent. Registered with Social Work England. Minimum of three years post-qualifying experience in social work with children and families. Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively within a team and independently. Proven ability to handle complex and sensitive cases with empathy and professionalism. Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to the Portsmouth Code of Conduct.
