Liaise and negotiate with professionals, statutory, and voluntary agencies to ensure the best possible service for clients.

Maintain appropriate records of work undertaken and carry out required administrative procedures.

Person Specifications
Qualifications
DipSW (postgraduate diploma) or equivalent (e.g., CQSW, CSS).
Social Work Degree or equivalent.
Experience
Experience of working as a Progressed Social Worker in a Social Work setting.
Experience of working with a variety of customer groups.
Experience of working closely with Health professionals.
Experience of supervising/mentoring trainee staff.
Experience in statutory Social Work Service, including assessments at points of crisis or significant changes in service user's life.
Experience working with vulnerable adults, including safeguarding and a range of difficulties (e.g., mental health, substance abuse, physical disability).
Experience practicing in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act.
Experience working with various professionals across organizations.
Technical, Specialist or Job-Related Knowledge
Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., NHS and Community Care Act, Nursing Home regulations, Carer Recognition Act).
Working knowledge of personalisation and direct payments.
Understanding of the roles of other professionals in care provision and knowledge of resources available to adults, including Third Sector and Voluntary Organizations.
