What is the job role?

Coventry City Council's Children's Services Horizon Child Exploitation Team are seeking to recruit a dynamic, experienced and highly skilled Social Worker to deliver an outstanding service to children who are at risk of exploitation and their families.


We are looking to recruit a passionate individual, child centred, enthusiastic, quick thinking and confident in dealing with members of the public, professionals and agencies in order to complete comprehensive assessments regarding the support that a child and their family may require.


This is a great opportunity to experience working in a busy, multi-agency environment that focuses on providing good quality advice and guidance in relation to child exploitation to ensure that children and families receive appropriate support.


This is a fixed-term role for 12 months.

All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and as such, appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).



Who are we looking for?

You will believe in providing a high-quality service that ensures that the child is at the heart of everything we do. You will need to have a positive attitude and the ability to work in a solution-focused and trauma-informed way with children who are being exploited. You will be a good team player who is passionate about identifying appropriate interventions for children and their families.
