We are now looking for

Why MASH Matters

The MASH is the

first line of defence in safeguarding children

, where vital decisions are made every day to protect children and support families.

By working closely with partners in health, police, education, and other agencies, you'll gather and analyse information, share intelligence, and make timely, proportionate decisions.

At the heart of the role is ensuring that

every referral is assessed swiftly, every child's voice is heard, and every family receives the right help at the right time.

first point of contact

for safeguarding concerns about children and families.

from health, police, schools, and other agencies.

Apply thresholds

consistently to identify the right level of intervention and support. Make

evidence-based, child-focused decisions

that keep children safe. Provide high-quality case recording, reports, and recommendations in line with statutory duties. Work as part of a

collaborative, fast-paced, multi-agency team

where your professional judgement truly matters.

The Person

We want Social Workers who are:

SWE registered with experience in children's social care (assessment, referral or child protection). Skilled at

multi-agency working

and confident in applying legislation and statutory guidance. Clear, analytical thinkers with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
