About the Role



We are seeking a dedicated and skilled

Social Worker

to join our

Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH)/Front Door

team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people by delivering high-quality intervention within social care services in line with statutory requirements and best practice.


As part of our Starting Well service, you will manage a varied caseload, conduct thorough assessments, and work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to safeguard and improve outcomes for children and families.


Key Responsibilities



Hold and manage a diverse caseload, ensuring cases are effectively assessed and managed. Utilising specialist knowledge for appropriate interventions, needs and risk assessments, care planning, child in need and child in care processes and child protection investigations. Undertake high-quality assessments ensuring they are child centred, community focused. To work with multi-agency network to support in delivering interventions to bring about positive change through developing effective relationships and to secure the best outcomes for children and young people. Identify and assess levels of risk and need, delivering protective or supportive services for children at risk, in need, or looked after. Maintain accurate, timely case records and reports in line with departmental standards. Contribute to the continued delivery of an effective Children Social Care service as part of a social work team, improving outcomes for children and young people in line with statutory and departmental policies, procedures and guidance.

About You



Qualifications:

CQSW, Degree in Social Work, CSS or equivalent. Current Social Work England registration is essential.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years' experience working with children and families, including statutory assessments and child protection work.

Skills:

Strong analytical and communication skills, ability to apply child care legislation, and proficiency in IT systems for case management.

Knowledge:

In-depth understanding of the Children Act 1989 & 2004, Working Together guidance, child development, and safeguarding frameworks. A valid UK driving licence and access to a car for work purposes.
