  • Grade 9 - \xc2\xa335,038 pro rata made up of:
  • Basic salary per annum: \xc2\xa330,038
  • Market supplement payment per annum: \xc2\xa34,000 pro rata
  • Welcome Payment of \xc2\xa31,000 pro rata
  • Grade 10 - \xc2\xa338,245 - \xc2\xa339,314 pro rata made up of:
  • Basic salary per annum: \xc2\xa333,245 - \xc2\xa334,314 pro rata
  • Market supplement payment per annum: \xc2\xa33,000 pro rata
  • Welcome Payment of \xc2\xa32,000 pro rata
  • Grade 11 - \xc2\xa341,514 - \xc2\xa343,713 pro rata made up of:
  • Basic salary per annum: \xc2\xa336,514 - \xc2\xa338,713 pro rata
  • Market supplement payment per annum: \xc2\xa32,000 pro rata
  • Welcome Payment of \xc2\xa33,000 pro rata

As a Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in assessing requests for intervention and determining the appropriate support needed. The work environment is fast-paced, requiring confident decision-making and effective teamwork. Building strong relationships with partner agencies and localities within Derbyshire is vital to ensure successful collaboration.

Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality social work services that empower individuals and communities to realize their potential.

Efficiently manage a caseload to ensure optimal outcomes for individuals, groups, and communities.

Foster partnerships and maintain strong relationships with individuals, identifying their needs and developing appropriate plans and responses.

Requirements:

BA Honours in Social Work and current registration with Social Work England (refer to job and person profile for detailed information).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a person-centred approach to building rapport and relationships with children and families.

Reflective practice and development capabilities, enabling flexible and thoughtful social work interventions.

These roles also attract a market supplement. This is a separate payment made in addition to the normal salary as detailed below. All market supplement payments are reviewed 6 months prior to their proposed end date to determine whether the supplement should continue.

Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.

An initial one off lump sum Welcome payment of \xc2\xa3500 (pro-rata) is attached to this post payable in your first salary. If you voluntarily leave the Council\'s employment within 12 months, you are required to repay some or all of the welcome payment (Terms and conditions apply).
