It's an exciting time to be joining Children Social Care in Warrington, as we have been chosen as a Pathfinder authority for the Families First for Children reforms.
We have a rare opportunity with in our Multi Agency Gateway team. This is a non case-holding role.
The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent social worker to join our award winning MAG. We have a permanent vacancy for a full time screening social worker to work as part of our multiagency gateway to children's services. Our MAG consists of representatives from children's social care, early help, health, CYPMHS, probation, Cheshire Without Abuse, Police and many more. Working in conjunction with our partners, decisions are made via screening in respect of the threshold of need and recommendations are made as to future support.
What's needed?
We are seeking a social worker who has excellent verbal communication skills, is able to think creatively to problem solve, who has a good understanding of thresholds of need and who works well as part of a multi agency group of professionals.

The interview will consist of an interview and a written exercise.
The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
DBS clearance is required.
