I run a small business business based in BS36. i'm a one man team and looking for a motivated, hands-on team member to help cleaning sofas in the unit.

The Role

Seat & Repeat Sofas is hiring a Flexible Team Member to join on a part-time basis (1 day a week initial trial period, potentially leading to 2 days a week). The role involves cleaning and preparing sofas to a high standard, using provided cleaning tools and solutions.

Pay, Flexibility & Trial Period

This position will begin on a

trial basis

, paid

per sofa cleaned

using a

tiered pay system

that reflects the size and condition of each sofa.
Pay typically ranges from

10-50 per sofa

, with most

standard cleans averaging around 20-25 per sofa

.

We aim to source sofas that are already in

fairly clean condition

, so most work involves

standard cleaning

-- vacuuming, spot treatments, and fabric refreshes rather than full deep cleaning.
Some weeks may include mostly quick, easy cleans, while others may involve more detailed jobs as new stock arrives.

Workload can vary week to week, so we're looking for someone with a

flexible schedule

who can adapt to both quieter and busier periods. Shifts can vary in time - we would expect a minimum 1-2 sofas to be cleaned whilst you are at the unit.

The role will

initially start at up to 8 hours per week

, but if all goes well and stock levels increase, it may grow into a regular

two-day-per-week position

.

Each sofa can take anywhere from

15 minutes to 2 hours

depending on condition -- for example, you might clean two standard sofas in a few hours and be finished for the day.

All cleaning materials and equipment are provided.
After the trial period, the position

may transition to an hourly pay structure

, depending on consistency, speed, and performance.

What We're Looking For:

Physically fit - you'll be on your feet, moving furniture, and handling cleaning equipment.

Able to get to work - parking is available onsite

Be prepared to listen and communicate - sofas are heavy and awkward to carry. Being vocal is a must!

Flexible - tasks and schedules may vary slightly each week

Experience is a bonus, but not essential - full training is provided

Would suit someone with a flexible weekly schedule, someone semi retired / student, someone looking for a bit of extra money.

Happy to work in cold conditions - the winter months are coming and the unit can get very cold. You also get a little wet from cleaning so must be prepared for this!
