Role Purpose:
The Sales Specialist -will be responsible for supporting and expanding the adoption of the connect.vet software platform and associated hardware solutions within our base. The role blends technical expertise, customer relationship management, and sales acumen to ensure clients gain maximum value from our solutions while identifying opportunities for upselling, training, and support. It will be the responsibility of this individual to not only sell the solution, but then ensure effective remote on-site training of the users and ensure effective use and benefit from the platform for customers
Key Responsibilities
Sales Responsibilities;
Drive revenue growth and improved customer acceptance and use for connect.vet software and associated hardware platforms through proactive client engagement and consultative selling.
Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
Deliver tailored software demos and product presentations (virtually and in person).
Support the commercial team with quote generation, proposals, and closing sales.
Track sales pipeline and manage opportunities using CRM tools.
Work with both independent vets, the vet corporate groups and educational establishments.
Work with internal teams such as marketing to create marketing and social media campaigns to drive customer engagement.
Technical Support & Implementation:
Act as the technical point of contact for all things related to connect.vet.
Assist in the deployment, onboarding, and configuration of software and hardware at client sites.
Provide first-line post-sales technical support and liaise with internal technical teams as needed.
Offer training and support to veterinary practice teams to ensure successful adoption and usage.
Client Relationship Management:
Develop strong, ongoing relationships with existing customers to encourage loyalty and satisfaction.
Conduct regular account reviews, software application reviews and feedback sessions.
Act as a bridge between client feedback and product development teams.
Collaboration & Reporting:
Work closely with Sales, Technical Support, Product, and Marketing teams to align messaging and execution.
Work hand-in hand with our software development team (based in Hasselt, Belgium) to evolve and develop the applications.
Report on sales metrics, customer feedback, and market trends.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., IT, Biomedical Engineering, Veterinary Technology, Sales/Marketing).
Proven experience in a sales, pre-sales, or technical support role, ideally in software or healthcare.
Strong understanding of software applications, hardware integration and networking
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage relationships and close deals.
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
Willingness for some travel to UK & Irish clients and our software development base in hasselt, Belgium.
Telephone and client engagement skills
Desirable:
Technical certifications or software training credentials are a plus.
Experience in veterinary, medical imaging, or healthcare IT.
Familiarity with PACS systems, DICOM standards, or veterinary practice workflows.
An appreciation of different imaging modalities would be beneficial, but not essential as we can provide training on those
Prior use of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot,SAP).
