The Role



As our

AI Software Developer

, you'll be instrumental in building, training, and scaling the core AI systems that power The Village -- with a focus on safety, accuracy, and user empathy.

What You'll Do



Develop and refine AI agents for healthcare tasks: triage, symptom checking, patient guidance, etc. Integrate with LLMs and healthcare knowledge bases to create trusted conversational flows Collaborate with healthcare professionals to translate clinical workflows into structured, AI-driven interactions Optimize agent responses for safety, clarity, and empathy using feedback loops and evaluation frameworks Work closely with the founding team on product direction, technical decisions, and rapid iteration Stay current on advancements in healthcare AI, LLM tools, safety mechanisms, and prompt engineering Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards (e.g., HIPAA/GDPR) in all AI-related systems

What We're Looking For



We don't expect you to check every box, but most of the following would be ideal:

Experience building AI/ML-powered products (especially LLM-based or agentic systems) Strong programming skills in React and AI development tools Experience with n8n.io and lovable.dev Familiarity with healthcare systems, clinical language, or medical ontologies Experience with prompt engineering, conversational AI, or autonomous agent architectures Comfortable working in an early-stage, high-velocity startup environment Strong sense of ownership and product thinking -- you care about
