Role Overview



In line with our continued growth at Benifex, we are excited to announce that we are recruiting for a Software Developer within our SME team due to a recent promotion.


As part of our product development team, you will work on our employee benefits platform that provides employees at SMEs with fantastic benefits.


Our team is continuously releasing software and delivering value to our customers, so you'll see the direct impact of your work. You'll be collaborating heavily with other developers and senior developers all the way up to the CTO. You'll contribute to design sessions and be involved in all elements of the development process, touching both the back and front end.


Our tech stack is

PHP, Laravel, MySQL, React, AWS, Docker, Grafana.



Responsibilities



Write clean and maintainable code across all parts of the codebase Develop software according to Agile practices, using TDD and iterative user stories to develop software efficiently, securely and of high quality Participate and communicate effectively in Agile ceremonies and team discussions Give feedback and perform code review for others Contribute to design discussions and identify areas of improvement Support QA and the client support teams when necessary, with the live codebase Use configuration management tools to track and control code development Produce and maintain documentation

What are we looking for?



Solid experience creating PHP based services

, ideally using

Laravel

Good understanding of

object-oriented design patterns

and writing clean code Experience working on cloud architecture and software built on

REST APIs

, with the ability to implement high quality code and deliver on time Experience with

SQL databases

such as

MySQL

Experience and understanding of production services in

cloud environments

Willingness to adopt

Agile

processes, including

TDD

and iterative development

Nice to haves:

TDD or BDD AWS or Docker Front-end development experience using React Mobile app development experience using React Native
