The Digital Services team are looking for a Software Developer to play an active role in designing, developing, testing, and launching innovative software, cloud solutions, business systems, and applications.
Your work will directly impact both residents and staff in Chorley and South Ribble, giving you the chance to see your ideas make a meaningful difference in the community.
What you'll be getting up to
You'll support on specific ICT projects, including benefits realization and project management methodology.
You'll research and assess the implementation of new software, products and technologies.
You'll support the design, development, testing, and implementation of software, cloud, business systems, and applications
Who we're looking for
We're looking for someone with knowledge of .NET Framework, Visual Studio, PowerBI, MSSQL, Oracle and C#.
You'llhave experience supporting complex IT projects.
You'll strive for continuous improvement. Keen to learn new development methods when required.
You'll be able to effectively priortise your workload and meet key objectives and deadlines.
Other requirements
Successful applicants will be subject to a basic DBS check (applied and paid for by the Council).
