Lockheed Martin Rotary Mission Systems UK (RMS UKIS) are seeking an additional
Software Developer
to join the Havant based team. This role will encompass
software development
and
application support
duties and will involve customer interaction, therefore good communication skills will be a pre-requisite.
The primary workplace initially for this role will be in Havant, with increased opportunities for a remote working schedule as time evolves. Initially, it would be beneficial to work regularly in the office to become familiar with the role, with the option to transition to a more remote working pattern over time.
The role will predominantly provide support to the Information Systems and Innovation (ISI) team lead. You will be assisting with the support and development of our existing Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications with a focus on business intelligence for logistics and sustainment programmes. You will provide support internally within LM RMS UKIS but also for external customers such as MoD and other industry partners.
An integral part of Lockheed Martin's Customer Support organisation, the candidate shall as a minimum (but not be restricted to) be required to perform the following tasks:Provide support to the senior analyst.
Gather business requirements from both internal and external customers.
Analyse system capabilities to resolve queries.
Develop SQL Server database queries, stored procedures that contribute to the functionality, reporting capabilities and/or performance of the business systems.
Capture and analyse requirements to develop new functionality.
Plan and co-ordinate software development activities with the ISI team lead.
Improving automation of data extracts sourced from our information systems database.
Identify performance bottlenecks and optimise queries and processes.
Assist information system senior analysts in the development of queries, including for data mining.
Possession of strong problem-solving skills; must be a team player.
Provide customer support to agreed service levels.
