About the Role

We're looking for a skilled and experienced PHP & Laravel Developer to join our development team. You'll play a key role in building and maintaining robust web applications and APIs that power our products and services. This role is ideal for someone confident in full-stack development and eager to contribute to forward-thinking solutions.

Work Model

This is a hybrid role. Once up to speed and fully knowledge transferred, you'll primarily work offsite, with an expectation to be in the office one day per week (negotiable) to support collaboration, planning, and team cohesion.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scalable web applications using PHP and Laravel. Build and manage RESTful APIs for internal and external use. Work with MySQL for data handling, queries, and performance optimization. Collaborate with front-end designers to integrate UI components. Maintain clean, well-documented code using Git version control. Use VSCode and modern development tools to deliver high-quality solutions. Participate in testing, and troubleshooting. Contribute to discussions around architecture, dev practices, and feature planning. Interact with users to capture and define requirements.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

3+ years of professional experience with PHP and Laravel. Strong knowledge of MySQL, including complex queries and schema design. Solid experience with HTML, CSS, and frontend integration. Proven ability to build and consume RESTful APIs. Comfortable with VSCode and Git in a collaborative team environment. Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills both written and verbal in English. Willingness to learn the business domain and industry. Eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship now and in the future.

Microservices & SOLID Design pattern Message Queueing C# Visual Studio & .Net Core An interest in AI and a willingness to explore emerging tools and integrations. Familiarity with Agile workflows.
