The Opportunity
Adobe Edinburgh are looking for engineers to join our team, building Adobe's Administration Platform which enables Adobe's business to grow rapidly. As part of the Cloud Technology unit, our mission is to invent the technologies that allow our product leaders' dreams to come true. We work to solve problems at a scale few other companies face. We build high availability and low maintenance platforms that play a critical role for Adobe customers, whether they be individuals or multinational enterprises. When our customers manage their Creative Cloud subscription, buy more licenses or add users to their teams, our UI platform underpins these experiences.
Our Adobe Edinburgh engineering centre also build the APIs behind these experiences and a real-time messaging platform for distributed intersystem communication that is at the heart of Adobe's $20 billion annual revenues.
There are opportunities in Edinburgh for you to build the services and solutions that help deliver Adobe's vision of the future, and you will have the chance to work with a wide variety of engineering teams from across the company.
What you'll do
As a team member, you will develop new UI components, elevate core end-user-facing experiences, and optimize the performance of our user interface. You will help us architect and build the platform that underpins these user experiences in a reusable manner.
You will get a chance to tackle significant engineering challenges, such as :
Designing foundational front-end infrastructure to support UI dialogs, marketing promotions templates, etc.
Building complex user interfaces for composing messages
Building libraries for tracking events, analysing data, and orchestrating user journeys
Extending, optimizing, and future-proofing all parts of our front-end stack
Collaborating with UI/UX designers, Frontend Architects, and Product Managers to design and implement modern, delightful, and intuitive features.

What you'll need to succeed
Experience developing sophisticated front-ends for web applications with responsive designs, modular and loosely coupled code
Experience with modern Javascript and frameworks (e.g. Web Components, React, ES6, TypeScript, Vue, Angular, GraphQL) and architectures like MVC/Flux/Redux
Knowledge of Web Standards and modern browsers, both at their API level and their internals (JS engines, browser performance, reflow, repaint, shadow DOM, progressive rendering, Service Workers, CDNs, CSS resetting, normalising, SCSS, etc.).
An enthusiasm to learn any of the above areas if you don't have experience
Experience with unit, integration and end to end testing.
