You will contribute towards building, enhancing and maintaining robust solutions to the changing demands of the business to ensure the quality if our products. Being part of our company, you will have real opportunity to learn, upskill and impart your knowledge. You will be involved in the creation of innovative tech solutions for our healthcare industry- what could be more rewarding? This is a great opportunity to get involved with a team who\'re beginning their transition from manual testing to automation engineering and will allow you to continually upskill as the project evolves.

What you\'ll do

We are an ever-changing organisation, and we will keep you busy, but we have fun along the way.

You will work closely with project teams made up of Software Developers, Product Owners, Agile Delivery Lead, Project Managers and Software Delivery teams, so we need you to ensure communication and collaboration across everyone involved. We\'re working with both manual and automation testing, with a view to transitioning to entirely automation, so you\'ll be continually upskilling in order to ensure you can perform this role as you grow. You\'ll also have the opportunity to learn and grow from the knowledge of the other automation engineer who already exists within the team.

Other key responsibilities and accountabilities will include;

  • Perform functional and non-functional testing on EMIS products written in C# on a manual basis

  • Proactively apply engineering strategy, application architecture and component design as well as our principles, practices and standards
  • Create and maintain suitable test environments
  • Capture test results and raise defects to the team where expected results differ to actual results
Who you\'ll be

We are looking for you to be a Software Development in Test Engineer with manual skills around C#, and the desire to learn automation. Ideally you\'ll have knowledge around best practice, and good principles when it comes to software testing. You will have demonstrable experience/knowledge of software testing approaches including agile testing techniques

If you are eager to learn, proactive in your approach and able to work on your own initiative as well as collectively together as a team then you will add value to our team.

Other skills and experience we are looking for you to demonstrate include;
  • Experience of defining lightweight, high value test plans
  • Ability to work closely with software engineers and product owners
  • Practical knowledge of Winforms and/or WPF
  • Flexible in your approach
  • Quickly adapts and embraces change
If this sounds like what you have been looking for, then apply today and find out why EMIS is such a wonderful place to be!
