Role Overview
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Flight Planning product team. You will contribute directly to the development of Via, our innovative flight planning and management tool designed to help flight operators fly safely, efficiently, and in compliance with evolving regulations.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of industry experience and be enthusiastic about contributing across the full product lifecycle--from early-stage planning to development, deployment, and operational support.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate on the design and build of full-stack features, including backend systems, front-end interfaces, and cloud infrastructure
Contribute to roadmap planning, technical design, and product evolution
Prototype and iterate on new features quickly and effectively
Contribute to infrastructure automation, deployment, and monitoring
Write robust, well-tested code and participate in code reviews
Engage with stakeholders and customers to ensure features meet user needs
Skills and Experience
- Essential
Proficiency in Python/JavaScript or a similar high-level language
Experience with automated testing: unit, integration, and end-to-end
Keen to work across the stack, and motivated to learn in unfamiliar areas
- Desirable
3 years of professional software development experience
Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms
Experience developing and working with REST APIs
Familiarity with DevOps practices and knowledge of GitHub Actions or comparable CI tools
Experience designing and building SaaS systems
Exposure to trunk-based development methodologies
Previous experience or knowledge of working with GIS
Previous experience, knowledge or interest of working in the Aerospace industry
