Role description

We are expanding our engineering team and are seeking a Software Engineer who can operate effectively across a wide range of responsibilities. This role requires strong technical ownership, the ability to context-switch between tasks, and the resilience to adapt as priorities evolve day to day.

You will work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, contributing to design, development, and delivery while helping translate business needs into robust technical solutions. The role is not limited to a single codebase or problem domain and will suit someone comfortable balancing development, problem-solving and interaction with customers as needed.

The work is highly varied, and the successful candidate will thrive in an environment where requirements shift, unexpected challenges arise, and multiple workstreams must be managed concurrently.

The role is based in our Burgess Hill town-centre office, offering easy parking and excellent transport links via the mainline train station.

Salary: negotiable, dependant on experience

We are looking for an openminded individual with a strong 'can do' mentality that sees tasks through to their successful completion and isn't afraid to challenge or ask questions.

You must:

Have good HTML, CSS, JavaScript skills Good customer service skills Attention to detail Able to work closely with stakeholders to deliver end-to-end business solutions Enjoy problem solving and helping people Be able to work on multiple projects, prioritise your own workflow and work to tight deadlines Understand the importance of documentation, testing, and long-term maintainability Highly motivated and driven Keen to learn new things Interest in modern and emerging technologies including AI
