Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript). 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms. 1 year of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in monitoring, testing, and system design. Ability to take on complex and ambiguous problems. Experience in shipping consumer facing, high quality products.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

Responsibilities

Write backend code, create robust high-volume production systems, and develop prototypes quickly. Ensure a high level of quality implementing unit and integration tests as well as other mobile software architecture best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and products. Own and be responsible for assigned project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with engineer guidance.
