As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate and Investment Banking Payments Technology division, you will play a pivotal role as an experienced member of an agile team, designing and delivering reliable, industry-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. Your responsibilities include implementing crucial technology solutions across a range of technical areas within various business functions, all in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities

Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems Create secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development Drive the development of SRE best practices and champion stability and resiliency within the estate Partner with peers to define and implement against delivery roadmaps for features that deliver direct value to our users Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies Add to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and applied experience Advanced knowledge of Object oriented programming - Java, Spring and associated back end technologies Strong knowledge of Relational DB technologies - SQL, Oracle, and working knowledge on noSql databases Knowledge on MQ, Kafka Hands-on practical experience in system design & architecture, application development, testing, and operational stability Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Hands on experience with Kubernetes (or CKAD certification) Exposure to data analytics stacks * Experience with UI technologies like Typescript, React, Vite, and Jest is a plus.
