Summary
We're looking for an experienced and passionate Software Engineer (React Frontend) to work on our flagship Internal Developer Platform.

JOB TITLE: Software Engineer
SALARY: 47,790 - 53,100
LOCATION(S): Leeds
HOURS: Full-time - 35 hours per week
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our Leeds office.
About this opportunity
The Platform Engineering team is on a mission to create the next generation technical platform for Lloyds Banking Group, a single platform consumed by every engineer and platform across the entire group, you'll be at the heart of one of the UK's biggest financial service technical transformations.
We're looking for an experienced and passionate Software Engineer (Frontend) to work on our flagship Internal Developer Platform.
The ideal candidate will ideally have experience as a Software Engineer working as part of a team to build performant and maintainable frontend solutions. The candidate will have a passion for technology and a commitment to delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.
What you'll doDesign, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance our Internal Developer Platform Deliver features, from prototype to production, ensuring they are well tested, secure, and meet our engineering standards. Collaborate with colleagues from across the team business, including Senior Engineers and other Subject Matter Experts. Make suggestions for the product roadmap to ensure we're delivering the right features for our customers.

What you'll needExtensive experience of JavaScript/Typescript and the React framework Passionate about UX, with the ability to translate designs into working products Quality is part of everything that you do, including robust test automation using tools such as Jest, Playwright and Selenium Knowledge of integrating with RESTful APIs following secure coding practices

It would be great if you also hadIdeally comes from a development background or equivalent e.g. STEM or Computer Science Degree Knowledge of Backstage.io and supporting ecosystem Hands-on experience building solutions for the public cloud (Azure, GCP) Experience building CI/CD pipelines, ideally using Harness.io Experience of containerisation technologies Knowledge working with Infrastructure as Code technologies using Hashicorp Terraform
