Job Description

About Perygon & Sedulo

Perygon is Sedulo's fintech and business-intelligence platform for SMEs and larger organisations, turning people, risk and performance data--like staff happiness and engagement--into clear, actionable insights. It's used by leadership, product and People teams to spot trends, prioritise action and measure outcomes across the business. Backed by Sedulo's nationwide advisory expertise, we're investing heavily in a design-led roadmap, so the experience feels consumer-grade while remaining secure, scalable and ready for white-label client rollouts.

The Role

You will own high-impact front-end work: refine core journeys, elevate visual polish, and ship secure, accessible, maintainable experiences. You'll collaborate across product and engineering, bring evidence-based UX opinions, and see them through to delivery.

Responsibilities

Design-quality execution: Turn ideas into elegant, accessible interfaces with "AAA" polish. Engineering: Build robust components/pages with Next.js, React, TypeScript, focusing on performance and clean architecture with clean and maintainable code. Motion & interactivity: Add thoughtful animation with Framer Motion; explore advanced/3D for future prototypes such as avatars. Tooling evolution: Propose modern alternatives (e.g., to SurveyJS/AG Grid) and improve developer experience. White-label theming: Strengthen our Chakra UI theming solution for multi-client branding. Quality & testing: Maintain high Core Web Vitals, accessibility, and write robust unit/integration/E2E tests with Jest & Cypress. Agile collaboration: Work within Agile Scrum (stand-ups, planning, reviews, retrospectives); contribute to technical planning sessions and estimations. Stakeholder communication: Partner with designers, engineers, product, and clients/stakeholders; present solutions, run demos, and gather feedback.

The skills you will need to have

Proven commercial experience building modern web UIs. Proven delivery with React, Next.js, TypeScript. Strong UX instincts--you can explain why, not just how. Hands-on motion/interaction (Framer Motion or similar). Excellent CSS/responsive/theming skills (Chakra UI a plus). Agile Scrum experience, including participation in technical planning/estimation. Testing: demonstrable experience building Jest unit/integration suites and Cypress E2E tests. Portfolio showcasing beautiful, user-centred, performant work. Clear communicator; collaborative, product-thinking mindset.

And, if you have some experience of these, it would be good....

Three.js or other advanced animation tools. Enterprise SaaS/fintech/BI dashboards experience. Rapid mockups/prototyping in Figma/Sketch/XD.
