Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product designers, and venture founders to deliver impactful features. Drive end-to-end delivery including architecture, implementation, security, testing, CI/CD, and deployment. Make foundational architectural decisions and define technical roadmaps for early-stage ventures. Implement strong operational practices including observability, monitoring, and incident response. Contribute to improving company's engineering standards, tooling, and development processes. Mentor junior engineers and support onboarding as engineering teams expand.

Skills and Experience

Ideal Experience

Experience with Unix/Linux system administration. Deep understanding of cloud environments (AWS, GCP). Degree in Computer Science or related field. Experience in fintech, quant-trading, quantum related sectors

Qualifications

Required Experience

7-9+ years of backend engineering experience building production systems. Strong experience with Python, Node.js + TypeScript. Experience building products from zero inside startups (not consulting or large enterprise-only). Strong understanding of OS fundamentals, algorithms, networking, memory, CPU, and distributed systems. Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL including ACID principles, performance tuning, and concurrency issues. Experience with testing frameworks and writing, high-quality, maintainable code. Fluency with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and declarative deployments (ArgoCD preferred). Experience working with AWS and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
